I Know Who Killed Me

warning: this review might contain spoilers revealing part of the plot.

I Know Who Killed Me PosterWhen I saw the preview pictures for this movie I was reluctant to see it. Another teen star that wants to shrug off her teen image with a role like this; I was not sure if Lindsay would be able to pull off a role like this; despite what she was doing to herself in her personal life, she sure had the drama to pull the emotions from.

The bad reviews did not help with that either. The only thing that kept me with this movie was the story; “Aubrey Fleming (Lindsay Lohan), a bright and promising young woman, is abducted and tortured by a sadistic serial killer.

When she manages to escape, the traumatized girl, who regains consciousness in the hospital, insists that she is not who they think she is and that the real Aubrey Fleming is still in mortal danger.” (imdb.com)

Despite the reviews I Know Who Killed Me got, I was highly surprised; I found the movie to be quite entertaining, if you take away the confusing elements and the bad acting from some of the supporting cast. Then again, I am easily amused.

Stripper scenes galore! My goodness. I think that this movie could have done with one or two less. Though Lindsay did her thing believable, I just can not see her as a stripper.

Best Scene? A tie between the bus stop scene and the dry ice scene. The bus stop scene was creepy; night time, girl alone, crazy stalker guy moving without walking. Dry ice scene? That just freaked me out. Not to mention it was absolutely gross and painful to watch.

I Know Who Killed Me

Worst Scene? Mom able to hear daughter and boyfriend getting it on upstairs. (okay, technically not her daughter if you want to stick with the story, but who the heck wants to listen to their kids having sex?)

The quality of the movie was quite astonishing and the blue/red contrast suited differences in character.

The plot was okay, but it could have been worked out better. Some confusion in the end. Usually I get it, now I didn’t. Was she or wasn’t she?

By far the best acting award (for this movie) goes to Lindsay; she should take on more roles like this (drama!).
