Sara Sidle’s Top 5 Moments
Now that Jorja Fox’s final episode is arriving (Thursday November 15th), titled appropriately ‘Goodbye and Good Luck’, I want to have a look back on her 7 and somewhat years on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and list Sara Sidle’s Top 5 Moments.
5. s3e17 ‘Crash & Burn’
After Sara confronts her boyfriend Hank about his cheating on his girlfriend with her, Sara goes to a waiting Catherine where her friend and colleague (who has been in the situation herself), merely smiles and asks her if if she’d like to go out for a beer, to which she simply answers: “Drive”.
4. s8e01 ‘Dead Doll’
There is not one favorite moment in this episode. The entire desert sequence if powerful. Showing a strong woman with the will to survive the terrible ordeal she is in.
3. s1e07 ‘Blood Drops’
Though the entire episode shows much of Sara’s character and the ease in which she, albeit unwillingly, connects with a child. But when she does, she does everything to protect the little girl. The one scene that stands out is the moment where a woman from Child Services is there to pick the girl up to which the girl takes Sara’s hand.
2. s5e13 ‘Nesting Dolls’
Enraged over a spousal abuse case, Sara insults Catherine, and goes against lab supervisor Ecklie, who sends her home where Grissom visits her. She confesses to him that her abused mother killed her father, which landed Sara in foster care.
1. s1e10 ‘Sex, Lies and Larvae’
One of the first signs that Sara Sidle is more emotionally attached to cases that involve domestic abuse; after Sara and Grissom reveal a huge amount of blood on the wall with luminol, Sara gets in a shouting match with suspect Scott. When Grissom asks her what is going on she replies: “I am a woman, and I have a *gun* and look how he treated me! I can only *imagine* how he treated his wife!”
