Last Sunday was the start of a new season of the L Word. Angelique will grace us with a recap/review every Wednesday (give or take a day early or late). You can read her review on the first episode ‘LGB Tease’ here.
All I have to say about last weeks episode is that no way in hell is any child able to go potty and then down for a nap in 28 seconds. Seriously.
The Beehive has fallen
The New Year comes filled with surprises. Amy Winehouse shocked her fans when she sported a freshly cut and colored look. Personally, I am thrilled that the hive is gone, I got neck pains just looking at it, let alone wear the damn thing. Then I look at this and cringe. Heroine Chic. Yikes
Tough Chick Rodriguez Released
Seems that Michelle Rodriguez was let out of prison early because it was overcrowded. The actress was sentenced to 180 days in jail after violating her probation for driving under the influence. She had admitted failing to complete community service after submitting a false document to show she carried out the work on September 25.
Rodriguez booked herself in on December 24th and was released a meager 17 days later. According to TMZ.com, Michelle was released due to severe overcrowding of the facility, despite the judge ordering the actress to complete the full term.
Babies, everywhere I go!
Not only did Toni Colette (Sixth Sense) gave birth to a baby girl, Sage Florence Galafassi, this Wednesday, but Courtney Thorne-Smith gave birth to an “absolutely gorgeous” baby boy, Jacob Emerson Fishman on Friday.
And Courtney was not the only one; reports came in Friday that both Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera were on their way to Ceders-Sinai Medical Center.
Nicole gave birth to a “beautiful healthy baby girl” Friday at Ceders Sinai Medical Center and named their daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden. The couple are currently at home and enjoying their little bundle of joy.
And according to EOnline.com Christina Aguilera gave birth to her baby Friday as well. The couple reportedly sent out a text message to friends and family saying that “Baby has arrived. Mom and dad are doing well!”.
Congrats on all new parents!
No more visitation for Spears?
It seems that the latest ‘bump in the road’ was enough for Kevin Federline. Sourced close to him are reporting that his attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is planning on asking the court to keep Britney cut off from her kids until the April hearing. Of course this is all in light of Spears’ recent disturbing three-hour confrontation with police and paramedics.
Another custody hearing is scheduled for Monday to address Spears’ behavior which led to Federline being awarded sole legal and physical custody of their children.
The only thing on my mind is will she actually show up??
Writers Guild of America Award Nominations Revealed
It seems there are a few surprising moves on that one. Original screenplay nods went to four Comedies; Juno, Knocked Up, Lars and the Real Girl and The Savages and one Drama; Michael Clayton.
High profile films like Atonement, Sweeney Todd, Charlie Wilson’s War were nowhere to be seen.
My vote goes to Juno.
Fashion Slip Ups
No idea when the heck this picture was taken, but it is a definite fashion don’t for anyone. I am hoping that the look on her face means she’s as awkward wearing this as I am seeing it. ‘Scuse me for a moment while I go wash my eyes out with soap.
Cashmere Mafia
In case you have been living under a rock for the past two weeks; Two episodes of Cashmere Mafia have aired and it is absolutely fabulous. Bonnie Somerville is absolutely fabulous! Not to mention her chemistry with love interest on the show, Lourdes Benedicto, is hot.
And just in case you have been buried in the ground. Cashmere Mafia also has a ‘lesbian’ character in it (Caitlin doesn’t know what the heck she is, but we can take what we get). Here is a clip of Caitlin and Alicia after their first ‘date’ (they just went out for drinks y’all)
Before I forget
Be sure to check back Saturday evening for the review of the Dutch Idols 4th Live Show! The candidates will be performing disco tunes, that should be something indeed! There are only three more guys in the running to become the next Dutch Idol, but if things keep up like this none of them stand a chance against Nikki and Charlene.
