Idols Live Show 6: The Brits
We had our ‘neighbors’ over for an evening. We had some rock, some ballads and we had a couple of boy and girl groups.
Pauline (Weak - Skunk Anansie)
That quite surprised me, I did not know if Pauline would be able to do this because Skin has such an incredible powerful voice that is hard to top, but Pauline pulled it off quite well.
Neil (One Love - Blue)
When is he going to be voted off? I mean he’s cute and all (if you go for that), but he doesn’t have the voice, there is to much vibration in it.
Nikki (Bleedin’ Love - Leona Lewis)
Forget Leona Lewis! We have Nikki! My god that was a beautiful rendition of Leona’s song. I did not think it was possible to top her performance from last week’s show, but she damn well did it. I’ve heard the original by Leona Lewis only after I heard Nikki sing it, and I have to say that Nikki was definitely an equal to the original, dare I say topping it.
Tiffany (Stronger - Sugababes)
An improvement from last week; you could see she was a lot more comfortable and a lot more confident.
Charlene (Runaway - Jamiroquai)
Well her song choice was definitely not the best, but she the voice was absolutely there.
Nigel (Somewhere Only We Know - Keane)
That started off quite okay, somewhat shaky on the higher notes and some of the lower points. Somewhere near the end he faltered and was a little to brave.
Nathalie (I’m Still Standing - Elton John)
Unfortunately this is the first time I have to say that I did not like Nathalie’s performance. I can’t say what was wrong, but I did not ‘feel’ the performance like I have done with all her other performances.

The Results
The candidates going through to the next live show are (in order of being safe).
- Nikki
- Pauline
- Nathalie
- Charlene
- Neil
- Nigel
Tiffany had to bite the dust this time. Let’s hope next week one of the boys does get to go home, because this is getting ridiculous. The Dutch voters are once again sending home people that should have gotten through another round.
