Ladies and Gentlemen, it has been a long and entertaining ride and we finally arrived at the finals. Nikki and Nathalie are the two ladies left to battle for that title of new Dutch Idol 2008.
Tonight the lovely ladies will be singing a duet, a song with an artist, their own personal favorite from past shows and the new original that one of these ladies gets to bring out on single.

Now that was one heck of an opening. Both did a great job. Truly entertaining. I do believe that there was a tiny mishap with Nathalie, either she forgot a bit of text or the microphone cut away, or it was just one heck of a bad bit in the song.
Nathalie (BeeGees - Staying Alive) (favorite own performance)
The girl knows how to give a performance, absolutely. I hate the damn song.
Nikki (Hello World) (original song)
Well okay, it’s got that nice pop rock sound and some other stuff in between as well. How someone is able to sing and dance like that is beyond me. Absolutely fantastic.
Nathalie (Makoma Band - Ola Ole)
I am not quite sure what to do with this. Weren’t we supposed to have them sing original songs, their favorite, a duet and a song with a dutch artist? I don’t dislike the music, but I just was not sure what to think of that and what the meaning of this is.
Trijntje Oosterhuis, Nikki and Nathalie (Patti LaBelle - On My Own) (trio)
Perfect arrangement. Every time Nikki does a softer song, her voice does something that cuts through your soul. Nathalie was perfect here as well and Trijntje just finished it. Beautiful.

I guess everyone got their own little moment. Well I’m not that big of a fan of Gospel Choirs but this might change my mind, just a tiny little bit, and only if Nikki sings with the Choir. Great performance, fantastic voice.
Nathalie (Hello World) (original song)
Okay, I definitely liked Nikki’s version of the song better. I like Nathalie, don’t get me wrong, but this is just more a Nikki song then a song for Nathalie. I’m not quite sure what to think of it exactly.
Nikki (Tina Turner - River Deep, Mountain High)(favorite own performance)
Absolutely fantastic! This is in my top 4 of Nikki performances and I am definitely glad that she chose this song. According to one of the judges she had a tiny slip up when she drew a tiny blank, but she picked it up so good that I did not even notice it.

I was thinking Nathalie deserves to win. She got energy and big sound and she can do anything with it. she can sing ,she can perform and she was the best and I was wishing that she won.
