Top 5 YouTube Singers

I, like many others, am somewhat of a YouTube addict. It is a great place where people can post their videos for others to view and listen to. The site ranges from Singers, to Actors, to Vloggers (blogging done with a video) to segments from tv-shows, movies and more.

With the help of YouTube a lot of singers have grown to prominence and become Internet phenomena on the basis of their appearance in YouTube videos.

Below is my top 5 of singers.

5. ‘Nevermind’
I recently fell upon this little gem on YouTube while searching for the song ‘Whether You Fall’ by Tracy Bonham. Not much is known about her, other then the fact that she has a great voice and she is from France (hence the slight accent in the videos, but it makes it more appealing)

4. Terra Naomi
Oh how I love thee Terra Naomi. She first came into my sights when I heard ‘The Vicodin Song’ on an online radio station, but her rise to fame started when she posted ‘Say It’s Possible’ only 11 days later. Naomi has said that the inspiration for the song came after she saw the movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth’.

3/2. Ana Free/Mia Rose
I can not really take these two apart, so they’ll be sharing the 3′d and 2′d place. I find them both equally strong of voice. Mia has a more softer tone then Ana, while Ana has a raw edge. Mia and Ana were in a band called Audacity, but are both concentrating on their own careers but are still in contact and write and play songs together (as shown below). They have been singing and writing songs from a young age and have only matured since.

1. Esmée Denters
Not only is she from the Netherlands, she has been YouTube’s #1 subscribed Musician since December 2007, she is signed with Justin Timberlake’s label and she’s been on Oprah!
