The year 2007 was filled with pregnancies and drunks; amongst others, Britney’s little sister Jamie Lynn got pregnant and several celebrities have a DUI charge to add to their curriculum vitae. Last week was no different.

Mischa Barton Arrested for driving under the influence
What is it with the stars and their liquor? Yet another has been arrested for driving under the influence last Thursday. Mischa Barton, former The O.C star, Los Angeles police officers pulled her car over in West Hollywood at 2.46am on Thursday. According to TMZ.com, 21-year-old Barton - who was listed as ‘Burton’ on the booking sheet - is also facing charges for driving without a valid license and possession of illegal narcotics. She is currently being held on $10,000 bail.

Who’s Your Daddy? Not Casey Aldridge
It was reported earlier that Britney Spears’ little sister Jamie Lynn (16) was pregnant by her on and off again boyfriend; it turns out to be not him at all, various sources are reporting that an old dude that shouldn’t even have put his mitts on her in the first place is the father.

American magazine Star claims the Spears family are paying Aldridge, 18, to play dad in a bid to mask the father’s true identity and avoid the shame of an under-age sex scandal involving 16-year-old Jamie-Lynn. The reports come days after Jamie-Lynn confirmed she is 12-weeks pregnant with student Aldridge’s baby during an interview with OK! magazine.

According to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton’s website, a Star source is reported as saying, “Casey is being paid off to be the family’s fall guy while the real father remains unidentified. The man many suspect is the father, however, would face charges and probably prison time if he were to come forward and admit he had sex with her.”

Star magazine quotes “two separate Spears family insiders” who believe the father is someone who works on Jamie-Lynn’s kids’ TV show, Zoey 101. The source adds, “In Hollywood, little girls grow up fast, and she is no exception. With everything that has gone on in her family, she needed someone to look up to. But the man she found seems to have completely taken advantage of her.” In Jamie-Lynn’s home state of Louisiana, Aldridge would escape legal action because a 16-year-old can legally have sex with a person less than two years older.

If this is the case; shouldn’t be avoided, the man should be prosecuted for rape!

Fergie to wed Josh Duhamel
Josh Duhamel, Transformers actor, proposed to his girlfriend of four years Stacey ‘Fergie’ Ferguson’, singer for Black Eyed Peas and solo artist, ‘recently’ but not on Christmas Day, according to Duhamel’s publicist Ruth Bernstein. Bernstein would not elaborate on the details of the couple’s engagement.

Michelle Rodriguez: Babe Behind Bars
Hottie and former Lost star Michelle Rodriguez started her six-month jail sentence after booking in to a Los Angeles prison on Christmas Eve. Rodriguez was sentenced to 180 days in jail after she violated her probation for driving under the influence. She admitted failing to complete community service after she submitted a false document to show she carried out the work.

Rodriguez had also consume alcohol on at least three occasions while wearing a monitoring bracelet around her ankle, which is a violation of a probation requirement in which she is not allowed to drink for 90 days.

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records, Rodriguez checked in to Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, L.A. under her real name Mayte Michelle Rodriguez in the early hours of Monday.

Winehouse Banned from Jail
While Winehouse can still visit her imprisoned husband she now has to do it like most others; behind a glass screen with no physical contact. The singer has been banned from normal visits to her husband, drug addict Blake Fielder-Civil, after he tested positive for a Class A drug, thought to be heroin.

An insider tells British newspaper The Sun, “As a precaution, the governor has banned Amy from having any more open visits with Blake. They now have to meet in a room separated by a bullet-proof glass screen.”

Beehive is battling her own addictions to alcohol and drugs and is believed to not have visited her husband since he failed the random drug test.

Love Hewitt turns down Playboy offer
Though actress Jennifer Love Hewitt is “very proud of her body” she chose not to get naked for Playboy magazine. The star impressed magazine bosses when she responded to comments made about her body after supposed unflattering photos were splashed over the Internet.

The actress’ publicist told In Touch Weekly magazine for an upcoming issue that the star is “flattered” by the offer, but turned it down. A friend of Love Hewitt said that indeed Jennifer was very proud of her body, but that she is “very conservative”.

Jessica Simpson Flops big time.
The singers new film ‘Blonde Ambition’ made less then $400 even though it opened in eight Texas Theaters las Friday. The movie was saved from the straight-to-DVD tag by film bosses at Nu Image and Millennium Films, who decided to give it a limited Christmas run. Which clearly did not worked out the way they hoped it would.

The executives were hoping the fact that both Simpson and Wilson are Texas natives would help give the film a boost, and possibly lead to more interest from cinema chains across America. The film will now be released on DVD in January, as expected.
