At No Borders Allowed we like to give beginning writers a chance to have their work ‘published’. We all know how hard it is to get anything out there, let alone get it published.
Have you written a short story and want it posted up on the site? Read the below guidelines first and then hop over to the contact page for the proper address.
Submission Guidelines
- Original works of fiction only.
- Please use the following header when submitting a story.
- Title: (Include chapter numbers if needed)
- Author: (Include email address)
- Type: (Fictional Character or Real Person Slash, Het, or Gen)
- Rating: (See ratings guide below)
- Disclaimer: (All stories MUST include a disclaimer)
- Warning: (Any warnings like BDSM, violence, non-con, character death, etc.)
- Beta: (Give them credit here - if you have one)
- Author’s Note: (Any extra information that you may wish to include)
- Summary: (A short synopsis of the story)
- Spelling/Grammatical errors - Please make sure to check your work at least twice so all obvious errors will be out. Almost every text editing program (such as Word) has spell/grammar check options on it.
- All stories (including shorts) must have a minimum of at least 250 words.
Okay so yes, we also have a little legal thing going on. We don’t want trouble from someone saying that you have posted their work of fiction. By sending us your story you understand and agree that:
- You are the original creator of the work submitted to us;
- You are the copyright holder of the work;
- All information in the contact and cover sections of your e-mail is accurate and truthful;
- You accept sole responsibility for any false statements or encumbrances upon rights not disclosed to us.
So what the heck do we do with your story? Well, once you’ve sent us your story, we will review it and respond to you via e-mail if it will be featured on the site or not.
